Boxcar Willie - Hobo's meditation

 

Tonight as I lay on the boxcar 오늘밤 박스카에 누어서

Just waiting for a train to pass by 지나가는 기차를 기다리지요.

What will become of the hobo 이 세상을 떠날때 되면

When his time comes to die. 방랑자는 어떻게 될까요.

There's a Master up yonder in heaven 하늘에 계신 하나님께서 우리집

Got a place that we might call our home. 이라고 부를 수 있는 곳을 마련하시겠지요.

Will we have to work for a living 우리는 생활을위해 일해야 할까요 아니면

Or can we continue to roam. 계속 방랑할수 있을까요.

Will there be any freight trains in heaven 하늘에서도 화물열차 같은 것이 있을까

Any boxcars in which we might hide. 우리가 들어가 숨을 박스카도 있을까

Will there be any tough cops or brakemen, 완고한 경찰관이나 기관차 제동수도 있을까

Will they tell us that we cannot ride. 그들은 우리에게 탈 수 없다고 말할까요.

Will the hobo chum with the rich man 방랑자들이 부자와는 사이좋게 지낼까

Will we always have money to spare. 우리들은 늘 돈이 있을까

Will they have respect for the hobo 방랑자들을 존중해 줄까요

In that land that lies hidden up there. 저위에 숨겨져 있는 하늘나라에서는
